The Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka invites applications for the following posts up to 17th September 2025. Appointees are expected to contribute to the University’s management.

1. Assistant Registrar

Qualifications:

• External (Category A):

  • Bachelor’s Degree (First/Second Class) OR

  • Bachelor’s + Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Administration/Management (Public Administration, Management, HR, Law, IT, Economics, Finance, Project Management, etc.)

  • Age: 22–30 years

• Internal (Category B):

  • Confirmed employee with a Bachelor’s Degree OR

  • Holder of U-MN-1(II)/U-MT 1(II) or above

  • Age: ≤53 years

Selection: Written exam + structured interview
Salary: U-EX 1(II) – Rs. 85,305–122,565
Fee: Rs. 1,200 (non-refundable, deposit to BPU Account 711201, Bank of Ceylon, Homagama)

2. Assistant Bursar

Qualifications:

• External (Category A):

  • Pass in Final II of CA Sri Lanka OR

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting OR Bachelor’s + CA Intermediate OR HNDA

  • 2 years accounting/auditing experience

  • Age: 22–30 years

• Internal (Category B):

  • Confirmed employee with Bachelor’s in Accounting OR U-MN-l(II)/U-MT l(II) holder

  • 2 years finance/auditing experience

  • Age: ≤53 years

Selection: Written exam + structured interview
Salary & Fee: Same as Assistant Registrar

3. Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation)

Qualifications:

• Attorney-at-Law with Law/Legal Studies Degree

• 2–3 years experience in court/legal work or drafting legal documents

• Age: ≤45 years

Selection: Structured interview (≥40% marks)
Salary: U-EX 1(II) – Rs. 85,305–122,565

General Conditions

• Contributions: 10% employee, 15% university (Provident Fund), 3% to ETF

• Gratuity: As per Payment of Gratuity Act

• Other allowances & medical scheme applicable

• Conditions under Buddhist and Pali University Act No. 74 of 1981 (as amended)
